The group meets monthly to research, discuss and plan our activities.  These include short breaks, day trips  and longer holidays in the UK or Europe, according to the interests of the members, which emerge from our discussions.  New ideas are welcomed.

The star of last year's holidays was a cruise on the Douro plus an extension to Lisbon in May, which is to be followed up with a  cruise on the Rhone this summer. Last year's events also included a 5 day coach holiday including visits to Highclere (Downton Abbey), Windsor, Henley and Winchester, and  later in the year Bamburgh Castle lit up with seasonal Xmas lights followed by a more ambitious 3 day break to Blenheim and Waddesdon Manor which both were absolutely stunning.  In 2024 we started the year with 17 of us going on the  "Landlubbers cruise" in Llandudno (see March newsletter on the NEWS page for more information about this).  Recently we went on an overnight trip to Glasgow to see André Rieu in concert - absolutely fabulous!  Later this year we also have planned  a "Mistletoe and Wine" break coming up at Waddeson Hall.
