- Monthly Meeting: Second Tuesday of the month
- Time: Doors open at 9:45 for tea and coffee - meeting starts at 10:15
- Location: St. Andrew's Church hall
The Monthly meeting is available for all members and refreshments are provided. It is an opportunity to meet with other members and find out about upcoming events and activities, as well as listening to an interesting talk from an invited speaker (see EVENTS page for details of future speakers). Each member also receives a copy of the monthly newsletter. If you are thinking of joining us you are very welcome to attend a monthly meeting to find out more about us and listen to the talk.

EVENTS OVER THE PAST YEAR
July: Walking holiday in Teesdale, fresh air and exercise, we put in some miles!
August: Holiday to Highclere (Downton Abbey), Windsor, Henley-on-Thames, Winchester, very enjoyable
September: Day visit with our own coach to Aukland Castle, on a beautiful sunny day, very interesting
November: Day trip to Bamburgh Castle decorated for Christmas and Seahouses, another sunny day!
December: Holiday Group visit to Blenheim Palace and Waddeson Manor decorated for Christmas, stunning!
February: Day trip to York Ice Sculptures, impressive, but an unseasonably mild day, so not ideal for ice sculptures. Visit to the Lit & Phil Society in Newcastle, very informative.
March: Holiday Group went on a “Landlubbers’ Cruise” in Llandudno, lots of dressing up, good fun and excellent hotel. Two of our teams competed in a Quiz run by the Northumbria Region, not winners, but we achieved a good score.
May: Visit to Newby Hall
June: Day visit “Border Rievers Country
